In verse 8, Paul discusses the issue of right thinking. So many thoughts flood our minds. It’s up to us to control them. Who Do You Seek When Grieving?

How do you react when you are grieving? Where do you turn for help? We all experience grief – but we don’t all react to it the same way. Some withdraw. Some seek help from friends. Some seek help from books. Some drown their sorrows and pain in alcohol or by taking drugs. Some lash out or try to find relief or mask over their pain in their own wrong way. They just want the pain to stop or the situation to change. Yet, when we are hurting and grieving, God tells us to seek Him.

The mind is a powerful thing. Thoughts. What do you find yourself dwelling on or meditating on the most? Are they uplifting and positive thoughts? Or do you have trouble with negative thinking?

Seeking God. Do you know him? How well do you know him? Do you have a clear view of him, or is it clouded by your past experiences or limited by your finite thoughts?

“For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.”—1 Cor 13:12

Circumstances and situations around us can be, and usually are, ever-changing and demanding our attention. Yet, first and foremost, I want my mind concentrating on: seeking God.
